I live at the base of the Arenal volcano with my husband (who was my high school sweetheart), our precocious daughter, three dogs, two chickens and a cat. Born in Costa Rica on an herb farm (on Poas, another, less active volcano), I grew up in the little town of Mt. Dora in Central Florida. Looking for a simpler lifestyle, we moved back to Costa Rica in 2004, and have worked in the event-hospitality-tourism industry since. More than fifteen years later, we are still enjoying the ultimate adventure of living in the rainforest and raising our free-spirited daughter.

I consider myself incredibly blessed to: combine my passion for planning and love of nature in my business; call a 250-foot waterfall my office many days of the year; work with clients who inspire me; and witness, time and time again, some of the most meaningful moments of people’s lives. It is an honor to share my home with you, my clients, in your celebrations and connections.

Although I studied events and am a certified wedding planner, I am also a third generation planner. Planning is in my blood. From my grandmother and my mother right down to me, troubleshooting, hospitality, and extreme attention to detail just run in the family. I love using my skills to share my home (Costa Rica) with people and create magical memories for them. Living in the jungle has taught me a lot about going with the flow, too, and I try to follow nature’s lead when (predictably) the unexpected happens.

Some Things I Love: all things ginger, researching random topics, fireflies and fairies, waterfalls, gummy bears, morning family snuggles, good tea, dark chocolate, finding creative solutions to unique challenges, lazy picnics, hot springs on rainy days, epic adventures, good intentions, passion fruit mojitos, making new friends, unusual and unique names and exploring new places, foods and experiences - and deep breaths…..

Some Things I Don't Love: styrofoam (just no), not understanding something clearly, scary movies, pet hair (but love my pets!), not having a plan, waste at events, websites whose about us sections are vague, the sound of balloons popping, rushing into things, and being a complete disaster in the kitchen (but I am working on it!)

Zero waste weddings inspire us. So do Costa Rican culture, natural beauty, and renewable energy. In Costa Rica, we can often serve drinks right out of coconuts or pineapples instead of plastic. We use materials like bamboo as straws and banana leaves as place settings. Our preference is always for the local option—supporting our immediate community.

We believe wholeheartedly in the “butterfly effect.” Those small choices you make about your event? They add up. Those small efforts you and your guests make to give back to the community or protect the environment. They matter—a lot. We truly believe that each event is an opportunity to make the world a better place.
